Title

Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $18,402.73 for the remaining amount for the 2020 Assistance to Firefighters Grant to purchase 248 radios and accessories. 

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Fire Department has received a grant of $1,240,000 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Assistance to Firefighters Grant program which has a federal share of $1,127,272.73 and a 10% matching fund contribution of $112,727.27 to purchase 248 radios and accessories for the Fire Department; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council approved this grant application through RES 21-170 on February 24, 2021, accepted the grant through RES 21-1432 on October 6, 2021, and approved the spending plan through RES PH 21-311 on November 10, 2021; and

 

WHEREAS, the spending plan needs to be established for the $18,402.73 remaining in the grant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $18,402.73 in excess of those estimated in the 2022 budget:

RESOLVED, that the City Council approves the changes to the 2022 budget as specified in the attached financial analysis.
