Approving the Mayor’s appointments of Carson Starkey, Alexandra Siclait, R. Lynn Pingol, Carlo Franco, Mai Thor, James Bradford III, Robert Lozinski-McClean and reappointment of Erika Sanders to the Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity Commission.

WHEREAS, the Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity (HREEO) Commission is responsible for monitoring and advising the department on promoting justice and equity and fosters hiring policies that maximize the diversity of the workforce of the city; and
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Legislative Code Section 183.19 (1) states that the Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity Commission consists of twenty-one (21) members appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the Council; and
WHEREAS, Carson Starkey, Alexandra Siclait, R. Lynn Pingol, Carlo Franco, Mai Thor, James Bradford III, Robert Lozinski-McClean applied to fill vacancies on the Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity Commission; and
WHEREAS, Erika Sanders has applied to serve an additional term on the Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity Commission; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Melvin Carter wishes to appoint Carson Starkey, Alexandra Siclait, R. Lynn Pingol, Carlo Franco, Mai Thor, James Bradford III, Robert Lozinski-McClean to the Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity Commission for a three-year term ending on September 30, 2025; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Melvin Carter wishes to reappoint Erika Sanders to an additional term on the human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity Commission; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council approves the appointment of Carson Starkey, Alexandra Siclait, R. Lynn Pingol, Carlo Franco, Mai Thor, James Bradford III, Robert Lozinski-McClean to the Human Rights and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for a three-year term ending on September 30, 2025; and, be it
