Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept an in-kind donation of labor, valued at $9,000, for the Hamline Park Play Area, donated by Hamline University.
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation develops and maintains sites for outdoor recreation of all types throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Baker will be completing an art installation for Hamline Park Play Area and wishes to donate time for construction purposes of the art piece, located at Hamline Park in Ward 4; and
WHEREAS, the donation, if accepted, will allow the Department of Parks and Recreation to complete the public art installation located at Hamline Park in Ward 4; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to accept said donation of labor; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby requested to approve the acceptance of the in-kind donation of labor and recognize the effort and commitment of Ms. Baker for their contribution to the City; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts the donation of said in-kind donation of labor at Hamline Park in Ward 3 and thanks Ms. Baker for their generous gift.
