Accepting the gift of travel expenses from National League of Cities for Bekah Hanes to attend the Children and Nature Network (CNN) Inside Out International Conference and the Cities Connecting Children to Nature (CCCN) All-Site Meeting in Atlanta, GA from May 9-12, 2022.

WHEREAS, CCCN is an initiative of the National League of Cities (NLC) and CNN; and
WHEREAS, CNN hosts an annual conference to bring together children and nature movement leaders; and
WHEREAS, CCCN hosts an all-site meeting within the CNN conference as a dedicated space for CCCN representatives to come together; and
WHEREAS, Bekah Hanes has been invited to represent the City of Saint Paul at the 2022 CCCN All Site Meeting; and
WHEREAS, NLC has offered to cover airfare, on-the-ground travel, hotel, meals, and meeting expenses for Bekah Hanes to attend; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul finds that attendance at this convening is beneficial to the City by providing an opportunity for participants to engage in sessions to develop expertise, obtain practical knowledge, and development of a professional network; now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the gift of airfare, on-the-ground travel, hotel, meals, and meeting expenses for Bekah Hanes to attend the CNN Inside Out International Conference and the CCCN All-Site Meeting in Atlanta, GA from May 9-12, 2022.
