Authorizing the Fire Department to accept the donation of 13 saunas valued at $72,800 from the Saint Paul Fire Foundation. (To be amended.)

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Fire Foundation has offered to donate 13 saunas valued at $5,600 each for a total donation of $33,600 $72,800 to the Saint Paul Fire Department at the following locations: Fire Station 1, Fire Station 6, Fire Station 8, Fire Station 9, Fire Station 14, Fire Station 17, Fire Station 18, Fire Station 19, Fire Station 20, Fire Station 22, Fire Station 23, Fire Station 24 and Fire Training; and
WHEREAS, the saunas will be used by the firefighters to help rid their bodies of dangerous, potentially cancer-causing toxins that enter through the skin while fighting fires; now, therefore, be it
WHEREAS, the saunas provide health and wellness benefits to firefighters; now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, the Saint Paul City Council accepts this donation of 13 saunas from the Saint Paul Fire Foundation and thanks them for their generous gift
