Approving Ordinance Permit No. 20213430101 for Asphalt and Concrete, Inc. on Chester Street.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul Department of Public Works may grant authority and permission for construction of streets and sewers via an Ordinance Permit as per Legislative Code Chapter 122 and 123; and
WHEREAS, Wellington Management, Inc. owns properties on Chester Street between Plato Boulevard and East Lafayette Frontage Road; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to rehabilitate the pavement surface of Chester Street; and
WHEREAS, Asphalt and Concrete, Inc. has been contracted by Wellington Management, Inc. to make improvements to City infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, on August 10, 2021, Asphalt and Concrete, Inc. submitted appropriate Plans, Specifications, Reports, and Documents to the City for review; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul Department of Public Works reviewed said Plans, Specifications, Reports, and Documents and determined them to be in compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and policies; and
WHEREAS, on August 30, 2021, an Ordinance Permit was issued by the City of Saint Paul to Asphalt and Concrete, Inc. for the purpose of completing the street improvements; and
WHEREAS, Asphalt and Concrete, Inc. has completed their infrastructure installation and satisfied applicable requirements of the Ordinance Permit with the exception of warranty work that may occur at a later date; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED that the City Council accepts the infrastructure as so defined in Exhibit A and that the warranty period and associated maintenance obligations shall begin upon City acceptance.
