Title

Authorizing an increase in the Parks and Recreation Grant Fund Budget in the amount of $520,000 to reflect grant funding expected, budgeted, and awarded in 2022 from the Como Zoo DNR Grant (SFY 22/23).  

Body

WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation has been awarded $520,000 from State of Minnesota, Department of Natural Resources for the Como Zoo Grant in State Fiscal Years 2022 and 2023; and

WHEREAS, none of the additional grant funding listed above requires any matching funds; and

WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation wishes to amend these Grant Fund budgets with spending plans for the additional funding; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.01 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $520,000 in excess of those estimated in the current Grant Budget; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes these amendments for the Life-to-date Grant Budget.
