Title

Amending the financing and spending plans in the Department of Public Works Capital Budget to add Minnesota Department of Public Safety funding to the 2020 Water Street Project.

 

Body

WHEREAS, in 2019 the City experienced flooding and subsequent damage to the roadway, shoreline and guardrail located on Water Street; and

WHEREAS, the City’s 2020 Water Street Project addressed the damages; and

WHEREAS, the City has received funding from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Homeland Security Emergency Management in reimbursement for the repairs made to Water Street; and

WHEREAS, there is a need to add $619,877 of Minnesota Department of Public Safety funding to the 2020 Water Street Project; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there is available for appropriation funds of $619,877; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $619,877 is available for appropriation in the Capital Improvement Budgets, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the Improvements Budgets in the following particulars:
