Pertaining to attendance at conferences, seminars and other training opportunities by Saint Paul Regional Water Services staff.

WHEREAS, Attendance at training, education and development (TED) opportunities by Saint Paul Regional Water Services staff has been beneficial to the utility and the Board; and
WHEREAS, the following TED opportunities are scheduled for 2022:

Midwest Regional Water Utility St. Louis Park, MN February 22-24
Annual Conference & Exposition San Antonio, TX June 12-15
Water Infrastructure Conference Portland, OR September 11-14
Minnesota Section Duluth, MN September 13-16
Water Quality Technology Cincinnati, OH November 13-17
AMWA (Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies) TED Opportunities
Water Policy Conference Washington, D.C March 7-9
Executive Management Conference Savannah, GA Oct 30- Nov 2

WHEREAS, the General Manager has requested that he be authorized to designate a limited number of staff to represent Saint Paul Regional Water Services at these conferences, seminars and other training opportunities; and
WHEREAS, attendance at the conferences shown above may involve the cost of transportation, lodging, meals and registration; and
WHEREAS, the General Manager may occasionally determine that attendance at a conference, seminar or training session different than that originally requested may be in the Board’s best interests and does request the authority to make substitutions where so determined; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that attendance at the conferences shown above, or as may be substituted by the General Manager, by Saint Paul Regional Water Services staff as designated by the General Manager, is hereby approved; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that actual expenses incurred by conference attendees designated by the General Manager shall be paid from Saint Paul Regional Water Services funds.
