WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul is leading the EV Spot Network and Evie Carshare project which will deliver 70 EV charging hubs across Saint Paul and Minneapolis, and each hub will provide both public EV charging and EV charging dedicated to use by the Evie carshare service that will be operated by HOURCAR; and
WHEREAS, Chief Resilience Officer Russ Stark has been asked to speak at Philadelphia Citizen’s Ideas We Should Steal Festival on December 14, 2021 about this unique project that is one of the first of its kind in the United States; and
WHEREAS, Philadelphia Citizen’s Ideas We Should Steal Festival will cover the costs of airfare and lodging for CRO Russ Stark to attend the Festival; and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council finds that CRO Starks’ participation in the event will highlight this initiative and is directly related to a governmental purpose; now, therefore be it
Resolved, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts the donation of up to $750 to cover the costs of airfare and lodging for CRO Russ Stark to attend the Philadelphia Citizen Ideas We Should Steal Festival and present on the Evie Carshare and EV Spot Network project and thanks the Festival for its generous gift.
