Stated Reason for Appeal (if given): Resident believes they paid in full to Advanced and that the assessment was sent in error. They stated that they have documentation of a payment of $63.00 that was made on 05/11/2021 and another payment of $93.07 that was made on 07/14/2021. They have never received an actual bill only final notices. They state they have contacted Advanced multiple times about this billing issue since moving in January of 2021.
Staff Comments: Hauler records show that the billing address on the account is the same as the service address and that no invoices have been returned to Advanced Disposal/Waste Management. However, they did confirm that there was a payment made on 5/11/2021and requested that we remove the assessment. Therefore staff recommends removing the assessment.

WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services Real Estate Section has attached to this Council File both a report of completion outlining the costs and fees associated with Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services during April to June 2021. (File No. CG2103A3, Assessment No.210112) and the assessment roll including all properties for which these assessments are proposed for Council ratification; and
WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an appeal of this assessment and developed a recommendation for the City Council with respect to this assessment; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing having been conducted for the above improvement, and said assessment having been further considered by the Council and having been considered financially satisfactory; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that pursuant to Chapter 14 of the Saint Paul City Charter, said assessment is hereby deleted.
