Honoring Saint Paul Veterans on Veterans Day, November 11, 2021.
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council recognizes with great respect those who defend our rights and freedom; and
WHEREAS, the people of Saint Paul recently exercised our right to vote thanks to those who heroically served our nation to secure those rights; and
WHEREAS, we pause to recognize those who made the ultimate sacrifice after the terrorist attacks of Sept 11, 2001; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has veteran employees and family members who continue to serve our nation with honor and distinction; and
WHEREAS, City of Saint Paul recognizes the ongoing work to ensure the inclusion and acceptance of our veterans as part of an equitable city vision; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul established the Veteran Employee Resource Network (V-ERN) to recognize and support the incredible contributions of our veterans; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul appreciates the families, friends, agencies, and employers who support our veterans throughout this great city; and therefore be it
RESOLVED, the Saint Paul City Council publicly honors all veterans for their dedication, sacrifice, and service on Veterans Day, November 11, 2021.
