Pertaining to an Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 2939 with Precision Engineering Solutions to provide conduit corrosion assessments.
Body
WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul entered into a contract with Precision Engineering Services (“PES”) dated May 1, 2021 to provide corrosion assessments for the Board’s Mississippi Raw Water Conduit 2 at a cost not to exceed $48,000 (“Contract No. 2939”); and
WHEREAS, at this time, the Board and PES desire to enter into an Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 2939 to provide for additional corrosion assessments for the Board’s Mississippi Raw Water Conduit 1 and the Board’s Vadnais Raw Water Conduit 2 at a cost not to exceed $61,590; and
WHEREAS, said amendment would increase the total amount not to exceed for Contract No. 2939 to $109,590; and
WHEREAS, City of Saint Paul Municipal Code Section 86.02 requires Board authorization for any contract over $50,000; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul hereby requests that City of Saint Paul Contracts and Analysis draft an amendment to Contract No. 2939 providing for additional corrosion assessments for the Board’s Mississippi Raw Water Conduit 1 and the Board’s Vadnais Raw Water Conduit 2 at a cost not to exceed $61,590, as described in the PES proposal for services dated September 29, 2021, which will result in a total not to exceed cost of $109,590; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the Board are hereby authorized and directed to execute said amendment following approval by the assistant city attorney.
