Requesting that the City levy property taxes for the Saint Paul Public Library Agency.

 

Body

WHEREAS, in accordance with Saint Paul Administrative Code §14.05, Mayor Carter presented to the Library Board on August 19, 2021, the Library Agency's 2022 proposed budget, with said recommended budget totaling $20,413,029; and           

                                                                             

WHEREAS, the budget requested by the Library Agency and proposed by the Mayor includes, as part of the comprehensive 2022 financing plan for the Saint Paul Public Library Agency, that the net property tax levy payable in 2022 be $18,774,155 as detailed below: 

 

      Library Board      Recommended Tax Levy:

      City Levy for Library Agency Debt Service                         0     

Total Recommended:                                    18,774,155

     

      Net Levy Library Agency                                   18,774,155

                                                                                         

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that in accordance with Saint Paul Administrative Code §14.05(g), the Library Board requests that the City of Saint Paul levy this financing amount on behalf of the Library Agency, and certify to the Ramsey County Auditor the portion of the proposed maximum tax levy shown for the City of Saint Paul for the Saint Paul Library Agency for taxes payable in 2022.
