Authorizing the City to renew a lease agreement with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency for use of space on City property at 1450 Red Rock Road.

WHEREAS, on April 1, 2011, the City of Saint Paul ("City"), as lessor, entered into a 5-year lease agreement (the "Lease", No. PW/16, aka PC0016) with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency ("MPCA"), as lessee, for MPCA's use of space at the City's Sewage Pump Station No. 4, located at 1450 Red Rock Road, said use being a 32 x 42 foot fenced-in area for equipment to monitor ambient air quality; and
WHEREAS, the MPCA renewed the Lease in 2016 and again desires to renew for another five-year term, beginning January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2025, for the sum of $360.00 per quarter, as documented in Exhibit A (as PC0058) attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City's Department of Public Works supports said renewal request; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized to enter into a renewal of said Lease between the City and the MPCA, as referenced in Exhibit A.
