Authorizing the Police Department assessors' expenses for assistance in the evaluation of candidates for the sergeant position.

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department is seeking actual cost of expenses which will include luggage fees, mileage, meals and taxi service for assessors who will assist in evaluating our candidates for the sergeant position; and
WHEREAS, the exam will be held on March 1-5, 2021 and there will be nine assessors with an estimated cost for expenditures of $10,000; and
WHEREAS, the public purpose for the expense is to be able to enhance the qualified selection of assessors to evaluate the police officer candidates choosing to take the sergeant exam; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the council approves the public purpose for the Police Department assessor expense.
