Removing the parking meter zones on Park Street between Sherburne Avenue and Como Avenue.
Body
WHEREAS, under Chapter 152, City Council shall approve revisions to parking meter rates, time limits and parking meter zones by resolution; and
WHEREAS, metered parking is intended to increase turnover where parking demand frequently exceeds capacity; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has determined though observation that parking demand on Park Street between Sherburne Avenue and Como Avenue does not frequently exceed capacity; and
WHEREAS, metered parking has an elevated cost of maintenance and operation above the cost of typical parking zones; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED that both sides of Park Street between Sherburne Avenue and Como Avenue shall no longer be parking meter zones.
