Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $89,400 for a contribution received from the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education to pay for training for firefighters.
Body
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education (MBFTE) has awarded a contribution of $89,400 to the Saint Paul Fire Department to reimburse costs associated with firefighter training; and

WHEREAS, firefighter training is a governmental purpose; and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the contribution received; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $89,400 in excess of those estimated in the 2020 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends the additions as specified in the attachment "MBFTE Financial Analysis $89,400" be made to the 2021 budget; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, the Saint Paul City Council accepts the contribution of $89,400 and thanks the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education for their generous contribution, and approved the changes to the 2021 budget.
