Authorizing the City of Saint Paul to approve the amendment to extend Wheel Fun Rentals’ investment into the Como Miniature Golf Course timeline.
Body
WHEREAS, the City and Manager entered into an Agreement on April 25, 2018 for the management and operation of the Como Miniature Golf Course which terminates on October 31, 2022; and
WHEREAS, that agreement allows for a renewal of an additional five-year term provided Manager directly invest $200,000 by June 15, 2020. The agreement also requires an onsite manager for 40 hours a week during the operating season; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota’s Emergency Executive Order 20-01 Declaring a Peacetime Emergency and Coordinating Minnesota's Strategy to Protect Minnesotans from COVID-19 severely impacted Manager’s operations; and
WHEREAS, Manager wishes to amend the Agreement to allow for a one-year extension of the $200,000 investment; and
WHEREAS, Parks has reviewed and approves the updated investment plan from Wheel Fun Rentals; and
WHEREAS, Wheel Fun Rentals has been successful at operating the miniature golf course and has met performance and service standards.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul approves the attached amendment to extend Wheel Fun Rentals’ investment into the Como Miniature Golf Course for an optional five-year renewal term.
