Authorizing the City to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with MnDOT regarding the reconstruction and future turnback to the City of Robert Street between Interstate 94 and the Mississippi River.
Body
WHEREAS, Robert Street between I94 and the Mississippi River is under MnDOT's jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, MnDOT's project scoping process identified a Mill and Overlay Project for this section of Robert Street; and
WHEREAS, the parties agree that the preferred alternate project scope is a reconstruction project; and
WHEREAS, a project lead by the City is preferred, to provide an efficient and effective method of project development and delivery; and
WHEREAS, the proposed project scope centered on reconstruction for Robert Street provides the City with a facility that it would own, operate and maintain; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding is to coordinate and define agency roles and responsibilities, outline an approach to refine the project scope, and to identify subjects required for the execution of a future Turnback Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into MnDOT Agreement Number 1036575, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
