WHEREAS, the Cigarette/Tobacco-Product Shop license application submitted by Narjis, LLC d/b/a East Side Tobacco (License ID# 20190003544) for the premises located at 1340 Payne Avenue in Saint Paul were the subject of a Notice of Intent to Deny License dated March 16, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the Notice stated in order to process the application submitted by the licensee, a building permit application with construction level drawings to satisfy the code discipline requirements including but not limited to zoning, building, and licensing needed to be submitted; and
WHEREAS, the applicant did not respond to the Notice of Intent to Deny Licenses by submitting a building permit application or take any other requested steps; and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent to Deny License stated that if the licensee failed to submit a building permit application with construction plans, request a public hearing, or withdraw the license application by March 30, 2020, that the matter would be placed on the City Council consent agenda; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, the Cigarette/Tobacco-Product Shop license application submitted by Narjis, LLC d/b/a East Side Tobacco (License ID# 20190003544) for the premises located at 1340 Payne Avenue in Saint Paul is hereby denied.
