Pertaining to a 2020 Budget Amendment No. 1 to transfer spending budget from capital funds to operating funds to pay approved class action lawsuit settlement agreement in the amount of $1,500,000. 

 

 

Body

WHEREAS, Resolution 20-118 was approved by the Board of Water Commissioners at its January 14, 2020 meeting; and

 

WHEREAS, Resolution 20-118 authorized and directed staff to issue customer credits and/or pay claimants, costs, and attorney fees in the total sum of $1,500,000; and

 

WHEREAS, in its 2020 capital budget, the Board of Water Commissioners did authorize capital spending of $1,500,000 for the Cope Tank Painting project that has been placed on hold; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Board of Water Commissioners does hereby recommend amendment to its 2020 Adopted Budget, resulting in a transfer of spending in the amount of $1,500,000 from capital funds to operating funds, resulting in no net change to the 2020 Adopted Budget of $80,603,659, the details of which are attached, and does recommend approval by the Saint Paul City Council.
