Authorizing the Department of Public Works to amend the agreement with the State of Minnesota to increase the grant from the Minnesota Apprenticeship Initiative program.
Body
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has a Minnesota Apprenticeship Initiative program to offer grants to assist employers with costs associated with developing apprenticeship programs; and
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota via the Minnesota Apprenticeship Initiative program has offered the City of Saint Paul Public Works Department an additional $10,000 to for the Public Works Department for the apprenticeship program; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Work wants to accept additional funds and amend the agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved RES PH 19-453 for the original agreement; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Department of Public Works is authorized to amend the State of Minnesota Grant Contract attached.
