Approving the Mayor’s reappointments of Chad Kulas, Sheri Riemers, Chris Tolbert, and Ramona Wilson to two-year terms on the Workforce Innovation Board.

WHEREAS, local workforce development boards are required entities under the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act to provide oversight for the public workforce system; and
WHEREAS, The Workforce Innovation Board is made up of thirty-three (33) members representing Business, Community-Based Organizations, One-Stop Workforce Center Partners, Labor, Economic Development, Education, and Elected Officials; and
WHEREAS, Chad Kulas and Sheri Riemers and Chris Tolbert and Ramona Wilson have applied for consideration for reappointment to the Workforce Improvement Board;
WHEREAS, the council approved the appointment by Mayor Chris Coleman of Chad Kulas to the Workforce Innovation Board on November 18, 2015 (RES 15-1873) and his reappointment on July 19, 2017 (RES 17-1072): and
WHEREAS, the council approved the appointment by Mayor Chris Coleman of Ramona Wilson to the Workforce Innovation Board on November 18, 2015 (RES 15-1873) and his reappointment on July 19, 2017 (RES 17-1072): and
WHEREAS, the council approved the appointment by Mayor Chris Coleman of Councilmember Chris Tolbert to the Workforce Innovation Board on July 19, 2017 (RES 17-1072); and
WHEREAS, the council approved the appointment by Mayor Melvin Carter of Sheri Riemers to a partial term ending July 31,2021 on the Workforce Innovation Board on April 4, 2019 (RES 19-523 and RES 19-666); and
WHEREAS, Mayor Carter wishes to appoint Chad Kulas and Sheri Rimers and Chris Tolbert and Ramona WIlson to the Workforce Innovation Board; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council approves the reappointment of Chad Kulas, Chris Tolbert, Shari Riemers, and Ramona Wilson to two year terms on the Workforce Innovation Board ending July 31, 2021.
