WHEREAS, Fong T. Lor., d/b/a Toufong Auto Repair & Towing (License ID #20190003321) at 1506 Buerkle Road in the City of Vadnais Heights, MN submitted applications for a Tow Truck/Wrecker (Operator) and a Tow Truck/Wrecker (Vehicle) license with the Department of Safety and Inspections; and
WHEREAS, the applicant has requested approval of an impound lot located outside the limits of the City of Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Legislative Code § 361.12 prohibits a licensee from towing a motor vehicle from private property under order of one not the owner or operator of the vehicle to a impound lot which is outside the limits of the City of Saint Paul unless the location of the lot has been specifically approved by city council; and
WHEREAS, the requested impound lot is located at 1506 Buerkle Road in the City of Vadnais Heights, MN which is outside the limits of the City of Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Safety and Inspections has no objection to the location of the requested impound lot; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that the location of the requested impound lot will not bear adversely on the health, safety, morals and general welfare of the community; now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, the request of Fong T. Lor., d/b/a Toufong Auto Repair & Towing to tow motor vehicles to an impound lot located at 1506 Buerkle Road in the City of Vadnais Heights, MN is granted.
