Accepting a sidewalk easement from Ramsey County in conjunction with development at Regions Hospital.
Body
WHEREAS, Regions Hospital is in the process of constructing a new Birth Center Building at the Regions Hospital complex located between Jackson Street, 12th Street and University Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Regions Hospital complex is located on property owned by Ramsey County (the "Property Owner"); and
WHEREAS, as part of the site plan approval process for the project the Department of Public Works ("Public Works") of the City of Saint Paul ("City") is requiring a permanent sidewalk easement ("Easement") over the portion of a prior driveway entrance along 12th Street; and
WHEREAS, the Property Owner has agreed to provide the Easement and is now requesting that the City accept the Easement, as provided in Exhibit A attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, Public Works has reviewed and approved the Easement as attached; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby accept the Easement in a form and content substantially as set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto, and authorize the proper city officials to accept an executed original and record same with the Ramsey County Recorder's Office and/or Registrar of Titles.
