Title

Authorizing the Department of Planning and Economic Development to accept a $1111 scholarship from the Minnesota Department of Administration State Historic Preservation Office for three Heritage Preservation Commissioners to attend the Preserve Minnesota Annual Statewide Historic Preservation Conference in Saint Cloud, September 11 - 13, 2019, and amending the budget to reflect the reimbursement.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Department of Planning and Economic Development (PED) incurred costs for three members of the City's Heritage Preservation Commission (HPC) to attend the Preserve Minnesota Annual Statewide Historic Preservation Conference in Saint Cloud, September 11th, 12th and 13th, 2019; and

 

WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Administration State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) has provided a scholarship to the City to reimburse the attendance costs by the HPC Commissioners and HPC staff, in a sum not to exceed $1,111.00; and

 

WHEREAS, finance and spending plans have not been established for the said reimbursement; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to City Charter § 10.07.1, does certify that there are available for appropriation total revenues in excess of those estimated in the budget, funds of $1,111 in the Planning and Economic Development Grant Fund; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor that $1,111 is available for appropriation in the Planning and Economic Development Grant Fund, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the particulars as specified in the attached financial analysis; AND, BE IT

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the Council of the City of Saint Paul wish to recognize SHPO for its ongoing preservation work and to thank SHPO for its generous assistance.
