Purpose of Appeal:  I purchased the deed to this property on Sept. 1, 2019 through a quit claim deed that has been completed.  The outstanding issues outlined by the Fire Inspection are long standing issues that we intend to address through renovations.  We are requesting to maintain an active status of our Certificate of Occupancy through the renovation period.  Please see additional details in the included attachments.  Thank you!

WHEREAS, in the matter of Appeal of Patrick Murphy to a Revocation of Fire Certificate of Occupancy and Order to Vacate at 61 COMO AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council revoke the Fire Certificate of Occupancy for Units 1, 2 and 4 and cannot be re-rented until Fire Certicate of Occupancy is reinstated; Unit 3 can be occupied; and grant extension on balance of orders to May 1, 2020. DSI to reinspect by December 4, 2019 to verify occupancy of Unit 3; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
