Title

Authorizing the Office of Financial Services to apply for up to $4 million in US Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency flood assistance funds.

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, during the period of March 12, 2019 through April 28, 2019, endured flood damages; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statute § 12.221, the City of Saint Paul is eligible for financial assistance from FEMA for eligible flood related expenditures; and

WHEREAS, if provided financial assistance, OFS will increase the 2019 Financing and Spending budgets for up to $4 million in reimbursable flood related expenditures; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, and in accordance with Minnesota Statute § 12.221, the Office of Financial Services is hereby authorized to apply for  up to $4 million of US Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) flood assistance funds.
