Authorizing the Police Department to accept a donation of a canine from the St. Paul K-9 Foundation.
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police K-9 Foundation is a tax-exempt nonprofit corporation organized exclusively for educational and charitable purposes to provide financial support for the Saint Paul Police Canine Unit; and
WHEREAS, the K-9 Foundation has received a donation of a canine to replace the recently retired canine in the Canine Unit; and
WHEREAS, the SPPD would like to accept the donation through the St. Paul Police K-9 Foundation for which the government purpose is for public safety; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts this generous donation and extend its sincere thanks to the Saint Paul Police K-9 Foundation.
