Approving the Mayor’s reappointment of Nancy Dudley Kelly to the Civil Service Commission.

WHEREAS, Section 12.02 of the Saint Paul City Charter states that there shall be a civil service commission consistent of three (3) members appointed by the mayor with the consent of the council and the board of education of independent school district number 625, and
WHEREAS, on November 14, 2012 the City Council passed RES 12-1936 approving Mayor Coleman’s reappointment of Nancy Dudley Kelly to the Civil Service Commission to a term ending May 13, 2018; and
WHEREAS, Nancy Dudley Kelly has expressed interest in being reappointed to a second term; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Carter, on the recommendation of staff, wishes to reappoint Nancy Dudley Kelly to a second, six-year term on the Civil Service Commission ending December 31, 2025
WHEREAS, the Board of Education of Independent School District Number 625 has passed a resolution consenting to the reappointment of Nancy Dudley Kelly to the Civil Service Commission; therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council consents to the reappointment of Nancy Dudley Kelly to the Business Review Council to a term ending December 31, 2025.
