Approving adverse action against the Auto Repair Garage and Second Hand Dealer-Motor Vehicle licenses held by Discount Auto Service, Inc. d/b/a Discount Auto Sales and Service located at 1047 Raymond Avenue.

WHEREAS, the Auto Repair Garage and Second Hand Dealer-Motor Vehicle licenses held by Discount Auto Service, Inc. d/b/a Discount Auto Sales and Service (License ID# 20070003619) for the premises located at 1047 Raymond Avenue in Saint Paul were the subject of a Notice of Intent to Suspend Licenses dated January 2, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the Notice stated the licensee failed to pay delinquent license and late fees and submit a completed Certificate of Compliance Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Law form; and
WHEREAS, per Saint Paul Legislative Code §310.05 (m) (2), the licensing office recommended a $500.00 matrix penalty for failure to submit information required to maintain the licenses; and
WHEREAS, the licensee did not respond to the Notice of Intent to Suspend Licenses to pay the delinquent license and late fees and submit the required information; and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent to Suspend Licenses stated that if the licensee failed to pay the delinquent license and late fees and submit the required information by January 14, 2019 that the matter would be placed on the February 6, 2019 City Council consent agenda to impose the recommended penalty; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, the Auto Repair Garage and Second Hand Dealer-Motor Vehicle licenses held by Discount Auto Service, Inc. d/b/a Discount Auto Sales and Service (License ID# 20070003619) for the premises located at 1047 Raymond Avenue are hereby suspended.
FURTHER RESOLVED, the licensee is ordered to pay a matrix penalty of $500.00 for failure to submit the required information to maintain the licenses.
FINALLY RESOLVED, the licenses will remain suspended until the delinquent license and late fees are paid in full and all required information is submitted to the Department of Safety and Inspections.
