Title

Amending the financing and spending plan in the Department of Parks and Recreation in the amount of $511,226.51 to reflect funds received from Ramsey County for construction of the Robert Piram Regional Trail project.

 

Body

WHEREAS, in accordance with Resolution #18-1495 adopted on October 3, 2018, the City of Saint Paul, through its Department of Parks and Recreation, will enter into a Cooperative Agreement with Ramsey County for trail, sidewalk, and mill and overlay along Plato Boulevard between Water Street and Fillmore Avenue as part of the Robert Piram Regional Trail project; and

  

WHEREAS, the City and Ramsey County will share project responsibilities and jointly participate in the project costs associated with design, engineering, and construction; and

 

WHEREAS, Ramsey County will pay the City $511,226.51 as reimbursement of its share of the costs; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation agrees to accept, manage, and administer said funds for the Robert Piram Regional Trail project; and

 

 

WHEREAS, it is the desire of Parks and Recreation to amend the financing and spending budget for the project in the amount of $511,226.51; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $511,226.51 in excess of those estimated in the 2017 Capital Improvement Budget; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $511,226.51 is available for appropriation in the 2017 Capital Improvement Budget, and said 2017 budget, as therefore adopted by the Council, is hereby further amended.
