Authoring the acceptance of funds in the amount of $99,731 and amending the 2018 Financing and Spending Plans in the Library Agency

WHEREAS, The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library has been awarded a grant in the amount of $99,731 from the Library Services Technology Act Grants program to be used by the Saint Paul Public Li brary Agency; and
WHEREAS, the grant will fund the costs of a 1.2 FTE to act as a cultural liaison; and
WHEREAS, the grant will provide opportunities for local communities to identify barriers to access and develop innovative responses that improve access to library services, programs, and materials; and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans for these monies has not been established; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.7.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriations funds of $99,731 in excess of those estimated in the 2018 budget and recommends the changes to the 2018 budget described in the attached fiscal analysis; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Library Board approves the changes to the 2018 Budget, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that said budget, as heretofore adopted by the Library Board is hereby amended as indicated in the attached fiscal analysis form.
