Authorizing the Police Department to enter into a grant agreement with the Office of National Drug Control Policy for the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Program.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department (SPPD) has received funding from the Office of National Drug Control Policy for the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Program (HIDTA); and
WHEREAS, the HIDTA program provides assistance to law enforcement agencies operating in areas determined to be critical drug-trafficking regions of the United States; and
WHEREAS, these funds will be used to continue the Department’s efforts to achieve the performance goals established and approved by the HIDTA executive board; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that council accepts this grant award and authorizes the City of Saint Paul to enter into an agreement and supplement agreement for this grant award.
