Honoring Peter J. McCall for his twenty-one years of service to the City of Saint Paul and the City Attorney’s Office.

Whereas, since 1977 Peter J. McCall has been a licensed attorney practicing law in the City of Saint Paul, the last twenty-one plus years, since July 21, 1997, with the Saint Paul City Attorney’s Office, representing the Planning and Economic Development (PED) department and Saint Paul’s Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA); and
Whereas, Pete is an accomplished and able attorney with many talents, skills, and expertise in a wide range of complex transactional and legal fields, most particularly residential and commercial real estate, redevelopment, and construction projects; and
Whereas, Pete has brought his keen insight, integrity, concentrated purpose and incredible energy to hundreds of transactions in Saint Paul, work that has bettered the lives of the residents of Saint Paul and the surrounding region; and
Whereas, to illustrate the significance of Pete’s work and Pete’s tremendous contribution for and on behalf of the City, here is an extremely short list of some of his project work: Xcel Energy Center, Lawson Commons, West Side Flats, U.S. Bank Building, Minnesota Public Radio building, Penfield, The Lofts at Farmers Market, Schmidt Redevelopment, Palace Theatre, Dorothy Day Residence/Opportunity Center, and the Major League Soccer Stadium; and
Whereas, Pete, with his wife, Rhonda, has chosen to devote more of his time to his grandchildren and traveling and enjoying life, in many adventures yet to be determined but sure to occur; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, in grateful and sincere recognition for his twenty-one years of dedicated public service to the City of Saint Paul, the Saint Paul City Council hereby honors Peter J. McCall on this Twenty Second day of August in the Year Two Thousand Eighteen; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby proclaims Wednesday August 22, 2018 to be Peter J. McCall Day in the City of Saint Paul.
