Approving a Liquor-Outdoor Service Area (Patio) license with conditions to Manana Restaurant, LLC, d/b/a Manana Restaurant, LLC (License ID #20180001385) at 798- 7th Street East.

WHEREAS, Manana Restaurant, LLC d/b/a Manana Restaurant, LLC (License ID #20180001385) applied for a Liquor-Outdoor Service Area (Patio) license for the premises located at 798 - 7th Street East in Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, the licensee was granted a Liquor On Sale-100 Seats or less and a Liquor On Sale-Sunday license on July 11, 2018 by Council RES #18-1067; and
WHEREAS, the licensee submitted a “good faith” letter indicating eight (8) additional petition signatures were obtained from residential property owners; and
WHEREAS, records indicate the licensee had obtained eleven (11) out of twenty-one (21) possible petition signatures for fifty-two percent (52%) support of a Liquor-Outdoor Service Area (Patio) license; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Safety and Inspections received a letter of support from the Dayton’s Bluff Community Council; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Safety and Inspections received no objections to the issuance of the license; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that the application is in order and there are no grounds for denial of the Liquor-Outdoor Service Area (Patio) license; now, therefore, be it,
RESOLVED, a Liquor-Outdoor Service Area (Patio) license is granted to Manana Restaurant, LLC d/b/a Manana Restaurant, LLC (License ID #20180001385) for the premises located at 798- 7th Street East in Saint Paul with the following conditions:
1. Licensee agrees to operate the establishment in compliance with Section 409.02 of the City of Saint Paul Legislative Code as a “Restaurant”.
2. Licensee agrees to close the establishment at 12:00 a.m. midnight. All patron/customers shall vacate the premises by 12:30 a.m. each day of the week as per City Zoning Code (parking requirement) and Section 409.02 of the City of Saint Paul Legislative Code.
