Title

Amending the Department of Parks and Recreation’s financing and spending plan in the amount of $80,000 to include a McNeely Foundation Giving Program grant for Swede Hollow Park master plan preparation, and authorizing  execution of a grant agreement accepting the required conditions of receiving the granted funds.

 

Body

 

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council, by its resolution #18-825, approved the Department of  Parks and Recreation’s application for a McNeely Foundation Giving Program grant in the amount of $80,000 for Swede Hollow Park master plan preparation; and

 

WHEREAS, the McNeely Foundation Giving Program funds have been approved and will be administered by the Department of Parks and Recreation; and

 

WHEREAS, the McNeely Foundation Giving Program requires that the Department of Parks and Recreation enter into a grant agreement which stipulates the conditions of the granted funds; and

 

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept the funds and amend the financing and spending budget for Swede Hollow Park master plan preparation; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $80,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2018 Capital Improvement Budget; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $80,000 is available for appropriation in the 2018 Capital Improvement Budget, and said 2018 budget, as heretofore adopted by the Council, is here by further amended as attached; and be it


FURTHER RESOLVED, that the appropriate city officials are authorized to enter into the attached grant agreement.
