Authorizing the City to enter into a Cooperative Agreement with Ramsey County (PUBW2017-19) for sidewalk construction on Larpenteur Avenue between Galtier Street and Rice Street; Energy Park Drive between Snelling Avenue and Lexington Parkway; and Randolph Avenue between Cleveland Avenue and Fairview Avenue.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul (City) plans to construct sidewalks on the following County State Aid Highways: Larpenteur Avenue between Galtier Street and Rice Street, Energy Park Drive between Snelling Avenue and Lexington Parkway, and Randolph Avenue between Cleveland Avenue and Fairview Avenue (Project); and
WHEREAS, Ramsey County Agreement PUBW2017-19 defines the engineering, administrative, and construction cost participation responsibilities of Ramsey County and the City of Saint Paul for implementation of the Project;
WHEREAS, the County and the City agree to each fund 50% of the Project cost; and
WHEREAS, Council Resolution Public Hearing 18-97 addresses the budget amendment regarding the Ramsey County funding and the assessment funding for this Project; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into Ramsey County Agreement PUBW2017-19, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
