Accepting a professional development scholarship from the Office for Victims of Crime to cover the cost of food, lodging, and travel for Michel Seasly to attend the National Domestic Violence Prosecution Conference in Kansas City, MO on June 6-8, 2018.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Association of Prosecuting Attorneys is holding its second National Domestic Violence Prosecution Conference in Kansas City, MO on June 6 - 8, 2018; and

WHEREAS, the Office for Victims of Crime has awarded Michael Seasly a professional development scholarship of up to $1,000.00 to cover the costs of food, lodging and travel to attend the conference; and

WHEREAS, Michael Seasly is a prosecutor in the City Attorney’s Office and this conference will be an opportunity to learn new strategies in the prosecution of domestic violence cases, and share what the City of Saint Paul is doing to address these serious crimes; now, therefore, be it 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts the scholarship, to be used to defray the costs of attendance at the conference and thanks the Office for Victims of Crime for its generous donation.
