Authorizing the City to enter into a Cooperative Agreement with Ramsey County (PUBW2017-14R) for Right of Way Acquisition for Dale Street (County State Aid Highway 53) between University and Iglehart.
Body
WHEREAS, Ramsey County (County) has a project to reconstruct Dale Street between University and Iglehart in the City of Saint Paul (City); and
WHEREAS, the County will prepare a Right of Way acquisition plan showing easements and other property interests required for the construction of the project and will acquire the proposed easements and right of way in accordance with Mn/DOT State Aid requirements; and
WHEREAS, Right of Way acquired under this agreement will be owned and maintained by the County; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the Right of Way acquisition will be shared 50% by the County and 50% by the City; and
WHEREAS, the City's share of the Right of Way acquistion cost is included in the 2018 Capital Improvement Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into Ramsey County Agreement PUBW2017-14R, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
