Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to enter into an Agreement with PepsiCo Bottling Group, LLC, 1300 E. Cliff Rd, Burnsville, MN 55337, to serve as Saint Paul Department of Parks and Recreation’s exclusive beverage supplier.
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation’s exclusive beverage supplier Agreement with Coca-Cola expired on March 14, 2018; and
WHEREAS, on November 30, 2017, the City of Saint Paul Department of Parks and Recreation published a Request for Proposals for a sponsorship agreement in the form of an exclusive beverage supplier; and
WHEREAS, PepsiCo Bottling Group, LLC, submitted a proposal dated December 13, 2017, and the City negotiated a proposed Agreement with PepsiCo Bottling Group, LLC, a copy of which is attached; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Agreement guarantees annual support funds, marketing support funds, commissions, and equipment in return for being an exclusive beverage supplier; and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council has reviewed the proposed Agreement and finds that the public will benefit from the services to be performed under the Agreement and that the City will benefit from the services and guaranteed annual support funds, marketing support funds, and commissions provided by PepsiCo Bottling Group, LLC, now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into the attached Agreement between the City of Saint Paul, Department of Parks and Recreation and PepsiCo Bottling Group, LLC.
