Title

Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept the donation of one multi-directional wayfinding sign from the Lower Phalen Creek Project donated by the McNeely Foundation, valued at $6,700.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Lower Phalen Creek Project, a Saint Paul neighborhood organization, has received funding from the McNeely Foundation to install one multi-directional wayfinding sign along the Gateway State Trail by Cayuga Park in the City of Saint Paul; and

 

WHEREAS, Lower Phalen Creek Project, in coordination with Lane Design, Inc., will provide the multi-directional wayfinding sign and be responsible for installation of the sign and footing; and

 

WHEREAS, the work will be done according to plans and specifications reviewed by the City of Saint Paul and either be performed by a licensed, insured, and bonded contractor, or by persons covered by liability insurance and other appropriate insurance coverage; and

 

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Department of Parks and Recreation, has agreed to take responsibility for the ongoing maintenance of the multi-directional wayfinding sign; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the City of Saint Paul Council accepts the donation of the multi-directional wayfinding sign and thanks the Lower Phalen Creek Project and the McNeely Foundation for their generous gift.
