Accepting the gift of $250 for conference registration from the Saint Paul Promise Neighborhood for Councilmember Dai Thao to attend the Equity Summit in Chicago, IL, April 11-13^th, 2018.

Body

WHEREAS, Councilmember Thao will have the opportunity to learn and gain new insight advancing equity and justice; and

WHEREAS, the organization has offered to pay for the conference registration fee of $250; and

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul find that attendance at the conference will be beneficial to city development and implementing future policies within the city, especially in regards to advancing racial equity goals; now therefore, be it,

RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the gift of $250 for the cost of conference registration to the 2018 Equity Summit, and thanks Saint Paul Promise Neighborhood for the gift.
