Title:
Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to enter into a lease agreement with DLL Finance, LLC, which will lease golf carts to the City for use at the Highland National Golf Course and Highland-9 Golf Course.

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to lease golf carts from Club Car for use at the Highland National and Highland Nine Golf Courses; and
WHEREAS, payment for the carts will be done through a financing lease with DLL, and the lease agreement requires that the City defend and indemnify DLL for any claims or causes of action resulting from use of the carts; and
WHEREAS, DLL is not the manufacturer or supplier of the carts and is only the financing agent; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that leasing of the golf carts serves a public purpose as it allows the Department to provide carts to golfers without having to purchase them and enhances the Department’s recreational amenities; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby authorizes the appropriate city officials to enter into the attached finance lease which contains an indemnification provision.
