Title

Amending the financing and spending plan in the Department of Parks and Recreation in the amount of $30,640 for additional funds from the Capitol Region Watershed District for repairs to the Trout Brook storm tunnel in conjunction with the Trout Brook Lift Station project.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation completed redevelopment of the Trout Brook site; and

 

WHEREAS, the City supports, and will continue to support, collaboration with the Capital Region Watershed District and other agencies and groups to provide resources for increasing water quality, and for providing a cleaner environment throughout the city; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to repair defects in the Trout Brook storm sewer interceptor discovered during excavation; and

 

WHEREAS, the CRWD Board of Managers supports this repair and has authorized payment of no more than $30,640 for repairs of the Trout Brook storm sewer interceptor; and

 

WHEREAS, the City wishes to accept said funding and amend the financing and spending budget in the amount of $30,640; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $30,640 in excess of those estimated in the 2018 Capital Improvement Budget; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Committee, that $30,640 is available for appropriation in the 2018 Capital Improvement Budget, and said budget, as heretofore adopted by Council, are hereby further amended as outlined in the attached Financial Analysis.
