Authorizing the Police Department to expense food and beverages for 2018 professional training courses and training exercises.
Body
WHEREAS, the Police Department conducts multiple professional training courses and participates in training exercises with multi-jurisdictional law enforcement agencies; and
WHEREAS, the public purpose of this professional training is to provide quality and affordable training to outside law enforcement agencies and other professionals while providing training to the Saint Paul Police Department personnel; and
WHEREAS, the costs relating to these trainings are shared amongst the participating agencies in registration fees or like exchanges and food and beverages are included in these costs; and
BE IT ORDERED, that pursuant to the 2018 city budget, the proper city officials are hereby authorized to remit an amount not to exceed $15,000 to cover these expenses.
