Title

Approval to accept funds from Ramsey County in the amount of $100,000, the Metropolitan Council in the amount of $100,000, and Ever-Green Energy in the amount of $10,000, for a total of $210,000, and to amend the financing and spending plan for the Department of Parks and Recreation for the Great River Passage River Balcony project.

Body

WHEREAS, Ramsey County has committed $100,000 for the schematic design of the Great River Passage River Balcony project; and

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has committed $100,000 for the schematic design of the Great River Passage River Balcony project (titled Ramsey West and River Balcony Connection

project) CF #17-1064; and

WHEREAS, Ever-Green Energy has committed $10,000 for the schematic design of the Great River Passage River Balcony project; and

WHEREAS, said funding has been specifically designated for the schematic design of the Great River Passage River Balcony project; and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Department of Parks and Recreation to establish a financing and spending budget for the Great River Passage River Balcony project; and

WHEREAS,  the City Council  accepts and thanks  Ramsey County, the Metropolitan Council, and Ever-Green Energy for their generous funding; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $210,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2017 Capital Improvement Budget; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Committee, that $210,000 is available for appropriation in the 2017 Capital Improvement Budget, and said budget, as heretofore adopted by Council, are hereby further amended as outlined in the attached Financial Analysis.
