Accepting the gift of the costs of conference registration fees from Microsoft, for CIO Tarek Tomes to attend the Microsoft Ignite conference in Orlando, Florida, September 25 - 29, 2017.

WHEREAS, Microsoft has invited CIO Tarek Tomes to attend the Microsoft Ignite Conference, a technology conference lecture series, on September 25 - 29, 2017; and
WHEREAS, CIO Tarek Tomes will have the opportunity to learn and gain new insights on key technology trends in the industry; and
WHEREAS, the organization has offered to pay for the costs of registration to the conference; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul find that attendance at the conference will be beneficial to the City in developing and implementing future technologies within the City, now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the gift of the cost of registration to the Microsoft Ignite conference, and thanks Microsoft for its generous gift.
