Approving the joint powers agreement between the City and the cities of West St. Paul and Mendota Heights regarding the Erosion Stabilization of Cherokee Heights Upper Ravine. (Laid over from July 12)

WHEREAS, The Cherokee Heights Upper Ravine is located in the Lower Mississippi River Watershed Management Organization (LMRWMO) and drains portions of West Saint Paul, Mendota Heights and Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, it is considered mutually desirable by the Partners to stabilize the Cherokee Heights Upper Ravine; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul is the lead entity on the Project, when the attached Joint Powers Agreement ("JPA") is executed; and
WHEREAS, the costs and responsibilities to complete the Project will be shared by the cities of Saint Paul, West Saint Paul, and Mendota Heights per the attached JPA; and
Be in RESOLVED by the City of St Paul that the City execute the attached JPA and forward it to the Cities of West Saint Paul and Mendota Heights for execution; and
Be it FINALLY RESOLVED by the City of Saint Paul that Bruce Elder, Sewer Utility Manager, or his designee be the authorized representative of the Project.
